Building sustainable partnerships with the Global South:
the LMS experience and beyond
The goal of the workshop is to reflect on mathematics-focused international cooperation by exploring the factors that contribute to sustainable partnerships. Our discussion will be grounded in concrete examples, particularly the LMS-funded initiative MARM: Mathematics in Africa Research and Mobility. Established in 2005, MARM supports African mathematicians in pursuing academic careers of the highest standard. Now in its seventh round, the program has supported over 25 partnerships.
